I'd like to make a reservation. What should I do? | 1. First you can check our Availability page, to see if the desired time frame is available. 2. Write us an email, a Whatsapp message, or even better, fill out the online questionnaire to pre-reserve the room / cabaña / house. 3. You'd have to make a money transfer of at least 50% of the total amount to our US or Dutch bank accounts. The remaining part should be received by Quinta Cachama Negra at least 1 week before the start of your stay. 4. Notify us by email with the reference number of your bank transfer. 5. Fill out the "register" form with the personal details of the travelers. |
What type of payments do you accept? | We accept local bank transfers, along with cash dollars. As alternatives we also accept: USDT with Binance, Bank transfer en Euros to Rabobank in The Netherlands. Dollars with Zelle (Zelle has an adicional 5%, because the account is not ours) |
Children have to pay as well? | One child up to 4 years of age can stay in the room without any extra cost. (No extra bed). |
Does Cachama Negra have a restaurant? | No, we don't have restaurant service. In Choroní / Puerto Colombia you'll find a variety of restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. |
How do we reach Cachama Negra? | From Maracay you can either take a bus or taxi "por puesto". You can find travel information on the Address-page of this site. Suggestion: print out the Choroní-map on the Address-page. |
Do you have private parking space? | Yes, we do. There is one spot for every room and cabaña, and two spots for the vacational home. |
What time is check-in time on the day of arrival? | If the room was ocupied the night before, you can enter after 3pm. We can store your luggage while you are going to the beach. If the room was not ocupied the night before, you can enter from 10am. |
What time is check-out time? | Check out time for the rooms and cabaña is at 1pm. Check out time for the vacational home is at 11am. |
How far away are you from the beach? | It's about a 15 minutes walk. |
I have a small dog, can I bring it? | No. We don't accept domestic animals. |
Is there an ATM or bank in Choroní? | There's one bank, Banco Nacional de Crédito, with an ATM inside the office. However, the ATM don't seem to work well with foreign cards. |
Are there green areas in Cachama Negra? | Yes, we have a ample garden, with lots of plats and flowers. |
Do you organize trips to national park Henri Pittier? | No, but there are some small travel agencies in Choroní whom organize these trips. |
Do the rooms have bedlinnen and towels? | Yes, all rooms have bedlinnen and towels. The towels are not to be taken to the beach. |
Do the showers have hot water? | The showers of the double rooms, and the cabaña do have hot water. The showers of the vacational house and the outdoors showers have natural water. |
Does Cachama Negra have a electric generator? | Yes, we do have a small generator, which allows us to power the posada, in case of power loss. However, with the generator active, we cannot use air-condition units. Al rooms do have ceiling fans. |
Do you have a pool? | In Cachama Negra we don't have a pool. |
Do you have internet? | Yes, we offer free wifi (wireless internet) to our guests. |
How many rooms, cabañas, houses do you have? | We have two double rooms, one cabaña for 3 o 4 people and one vacational home up to 8 people. |
We are traveling with a large group. How many people can stay in Cachama Negra? | In Cachama Negra you can stay with a maximum of 16 people. |
Is there a kitchen available for the guests? | For the guests of the rooms and cabaña there is a small shared kitchen available. The vacational home does have a fully equipped kitchen internally. |
What does the kitchen in the vacational home have? | The kitchen is equipped with fridge, blender, pots, plates, utensils, etc. Well, everything you need to cook. |
